Windows 10: Remove pin as method of logging in to my computer

Yesterday I added a pin to my computer as a login oiption as Windows told me I had to do it for some reason and there was no "NO" option so I had to do it, I don't want to use a pin, its less secure than a password, so I searched up how to remove it and so I went to the sign-in options in settings and it says that the use of a pin is "currently unavalable" so I dont get the option to remove it, I locked my computer CTRL + L and I saw that I now had the option to either use my password or pin. However this morning when I booted up my computer the only option to login was via using the pin, I could not tell it to use my password, so how do i fix the issue of not being able to remove the pin?

Try these steps after creating System Restore point:

1. Open Registry Editor.

2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\System.

3. Double click and set AllowDomainPINLogon registry DWORD to 0.

4. Close Registry Editor and reboot.

Remove PIN for logging into Windows

I am using Windows 10, v.1903 and I want to remove PIN for logging into the system. But I cannot though I removed the logging in password option. My computer log in screen shows two log in methods, that is password & PIN.

When I click on password I can log into the Windows but I also have an option with PIN that I want to remove at all.

The option to change the PIN is grayed out, instead I receive a message Sorry blablabla

 

How to SWITCH login method from PIN to password

As helpful as this may be, removing the PIN option is not the same as setting password to always be the default method.
