    Hello ALL:
I remember when upgrading from Win 8.1 to 10, there were many GB of files that could be removed.

Well, after my TechBench upgrade, my Image backup has grown by 11GB!!! Does anyone know where these unneeded files are? I would sure like to get my 11GB back!

    :)

Rollback to Win 7 after Anniversary Update?

I'm having so many problems with Win 10 version 1511 that I don't want to keep it.

I'd like to try the new Anniversary edition (version 1607) to see if that solves the problems.

However, if it still has too many problems, I'd like to rollback to the original Win 7.

I know I can rollback from Win 10 Anniversary within 10 days.

That will take be back to Win 10 version 1511.

My question is AFTER that rollback to Win 10 version 1511,

can I still rollback to the original Win 7 within 30 days

of upgrading from Win 7 to Win 10 1511?

In other words, will I be able to I do TWO rollbacks,

or will upgrading from Win 10 1511 to Win 10 Anniversary

wipe out the Win 7 rollback files.

The problem I had almost Win 10 1511 comes. I checked that a lot of user of nividia and win 10 1511 have.

That's the space of the old OS. The .old folder contains the remints of build 10240 and that's how big that is.

WOW, you "guys" are FAST. I will look for a .old...

    WOW... Windows.old is 18GB!

Can I just remove it all? I think I can.

Also, can I remove $Windows-BT and WS?

Rabbits move fast.. what you can do is run the disk cleanup and get rid of the old junk. This is assuming that you're system is working fine and stable.

System is fine...not sure why it removed CPUZ, but diskcleanup is not showing this. Can I just delete Windows.old, $Windows-BT and WS with my FileManager (Q-DIR).

OK, I changed permissions on the WS and BT and removed them. On to .old!

    Remove Win 10 1511 Upgrade File(s)?

Hi, I just want to add what I prefer to use. I use Ccleaner to remove windows.old.
    Ccleaner is a free program
In Ccleaner, on the left side, under Advanced section, there is "Old Windows Installation", check that box and click Analyze, then click Run Cleaner.
    That will remove windows.old.

Adding: I think you can reinstall CPUZ. I had my Speccy removed after the install. Reinstall brought it back.

I may check ccleaner. I tried to remove windows old and can't. My problem with Disk Cleanup is it even wants to remove device driver packages. I can uncheck it but why is it several GB?

I did it using an elevated cmd prompt...same as removing WS and BT files.

    takeown /F C:\Windows.old\* /R /A
    icacls C:\Windows.old\*.* /T /grant administrators:F
    rmdir /S /Q C:\Windows.old\
