Windows 10: Remove Windows.old

    I delete the old files and I've never noticed a speed increase. It just purges old things.

    Had to do a fresh install of Windows 10, not going to use a 3rd party Antivirus now till 10 is final. Anyone else noticed in Windows 10 10030 there's no more permissions on files like with Windows 7 is it a new feature or was it included with 8?

    for me it removes the files but not the folder, but folder shows as empty , right click on the windowsold folder and go properties ,what does it show for file size

  6. There are still permissions - What I've seen is that they don't display on the first window, you can see them if you press the edit or advanced button

    I'd call that a bug in 10.0.130

    This does indeed clean out files that Disk Cleanup claim to not have access to. Worked perfectly for me.
