  1. Removing a USB device causes "USB Device Not Recognised" loop, anyone know a fix for this?

Sorry if this is the wrong sub for this question, but I'm going nuts here and any help would be appreciated.

Basically, any time I remove a USB device the computer throws up the not recognised notification every few seconds, even with notifications turned off it is still making the device connected/disconnected noises. I have resolved this before by restarting the system but it's not working this time.

Searching Google for help just brings up the advice of updating or reinstalling drivers and I've already done that to no avail.

I need the computer for work right now and that involves having the sound on but the constant connection noises are making it impossible to actually do my job as well as driving me up the bloody wall. Any help or advice you guys can give would be massively appreciated.

    Not recognising any USB devices

Read it. The problem is that none of the USB devices causing the issue. As a matter of fact even if some is, I wouldn't be able to know which one, cause as you saw on the screenshot I do have a shit tonne of USB devices listed when I click on USB tree. So won't try this method as any of the USB causing the issue(the issue is that when I plug any USB devices I don't see it. I can't even see it in Disk Management)

  3. USB Devices not Recognised

When I plug in my MP3 player, camera or mobile phone I receive the following message:

"USB Device not recognised. One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and windows does not recognise it".

I am running SP2 and did read somewhere that there was a problem with SP2 that could cause this to happen.

Can anyone help me fix the problem.

    Thank you.

Your USB device may already be corrupted, thus causing this issue to multiple computers. We suggest contacting the manufacturer of your USB device to report the issue and get additional assistance.
