    [All reference to this topic seem to be locked as the general solution is to apply the patch, but that doesn't work for all situations. So I'm posting this as a discussion.]So as part of our CyberSecurity we are tasked to remove Adobe Flash from our 'dated' Windows 10 Standalone machines. A Quick search will tell you that Adobe has an uninstaller and a set of instructions to follow. However part of the instructions have you deleting files from the Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash directory only to find these files are owned by 'TrustedInstaller' and even your admin rights can't get rid of th

    KB4577586 Update for removal of Adobe Flash Player - Oct. 27 Win Update

    If you uninstall the most recent KB4580325 security update for Flash Player then check for updates, Windows Update will reinstall it.

    So I tried it today to see what would happen. You cannot make this stuff up....

    Microsoft updates don't affect Chrome plugins.
    Anyway, you said that Chrome does not have the Flash plugin.
    There's no way to remove something that's not there. So no problem.
