So this Android Update keeps trying to load and fails. Is there a way for me to remove this from the update list? I know you can remove Updates that "have" loaded, but what about ones that sit in the load stage? Thanks.

  2. Removing an update that won't load

    Hi Bob,

Let's take care of your concern. If you're having problem with a specific update, you can uninstall it through
Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > select
View installed update history > Uninstall updates >
Installed Update window should appear, select/highlight the update you want to remove and select
Uninstall. See the image below for your reference:

You can also try running the Windows Update Troubleshooter to fix common Windows Update problems.

    Looking forward to your response.

I am trying to hide an update from Microsoft that wont load. It keeps sending me a message daily saying the update didn'tload. I just want to remove that update forever without being pestered by a daily notification.

Thank you Steve. I appreciate the info and outline link. I'm not sure I want to download a program to do something that should be in windows already, but I do understand its probably the only thing that will achieve what I'm trying to do.

The fix is direct from Microsoft. I've used it on several PCs and it works fine.

I ran the WushowHide and selected the Android Load. A reboot was required since I still saw the Android load on the update screen. After rebooting, then returning to the Update Screen, doing a check for update, the Android load was gone.
