    Hi,


    I'm back. My laptop is running slow at times. It takes a minute to boot up and it'll freeze up at times on a webpage. When I try to close the page it doesn't close immediately. I would have to click the "X" several times but it closes. I know I have duplicate folders. I've run the CCleaner software and it would pull loads of duplicate folders. The issue I'm having is how to identify and delete the RIGHT duplicate files/folders without trashing my laptop.


    I do have some games on here but the one game I play a lot is the Sims games (don't judge it's my happy space) and I don't want to delete the wrong files/folders to this game.


    Could someone help me with this?

    Windows 10 Tweaks

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    How to remove duplicate files in Windows 10.

    Thank you for the suggestion. I need to see a list of duplicate files and select those I want to eliminate. Does the program you suggested compare file content or do they simply point out duplicate
    file names?
