Windows 10: Removing local admin account prior to creating golden image

I am trying to create a golden image and have created a local admin account, installed specific programs, removed the built in uwp apps and updated driver's etc. My issue is I now must delete this admin account, before running sysprep. Apparently this was done by logging into another account called User (no pw req.) Then deleting the created local admin account. However, there does not seem to be another account called User (this was apparently an auto generated account). I have set this up as a personal device - would this other account be auto generated when setting up as a domain?

I have tried doing the software and driver additions and subtractions and then loading into audit mode via sysprep, deleting the account and running the sysprep oobe but when creating the image there was no file saved on a drive to select.

Remove account

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:

1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

 

Removing a local admin account

I had to send my windows 10 laptop for repair. So I created a local admin account and removed the Microsoft account.

After I received my laptop back, I added my Microsoft account by selecting adding a family member.

I want to remove the local admin account which I created before sending it for repair.. But I don't see it.

Is there a way I can do this?

 

Local account installation question

I'm fairly certain that Skip this step was available in 10.0.130 - the workaround in Step 20 (back button) is no longer required.

The currently known, as of 10.0.130, ways to create a Local account sign-in are

• Skip this step at the MS account creation phase
• No Internet connection during the install
• static IP (post# 2 by Fragment) - New (to me anyway)
