Windows 10: Removing old stand from monitor

Ant ideas how to remove this redundant part of a stand attached to the bottom of the monitor. With all 4 visible screes removed it is just as tight as with them in.

How to get sound through my monitor's speakers (Dell W1700) after Windows10 upgrade?

Hello,

For years, in lieu of stand-alone speakers, I've been getting sound through the built-in speakers on my now-old-school Dell W1700 plasma tv/monitor. I just recently bit the bullet and upgraded to Windows10, and after that upgrade, my computer is no longer
detecting my monitor as a potential audio source. And, because I don't have stand-alone speakers, I'm not getting sound at all.

Any thoughts about how I can finesse the settings, etc., so that I can get sound again through the built-in speakers on my Dell W1700 monitor? The drivers are current. But, because the monitor was manufactured circa 2003-ish, the drivers are still old....

windows will not install anniversary update

Remove any 3rd party Virus/Malware program if installed using the tools from such makers of the program, remove anything plugged into USB's/Media slots except wired KB/Mouse, if using a docking station remove the system and update as stand alone, if 2nd
monitor is being used remove it until update is completed, also posting some info about your system would help.
