Windows 10: removing Previous Window Installation and Temporary Windows Installati

My laptop was upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and I've decided to stay with Windows 10.

So, is it safe to now delete the following folders (See image):
- "Previous Windows Installation" folder
- "Temporary Windows Installation" folder

I think they include the Windows.old folder. If not, can it be deleted too?
Do I need to save any data files from the Windows.old folder?

What is my computer downloading?

Hi,

I've got the 1709 update but this caused my computer to freeze at random times.

I've went back to the previous version 1607 and then everything was back to normal.

But now, when I start my pc I notice a lot of download traffic to my computer from a Microsoft IP (13.107.4.50).

When I look at windows update, it says my computer is up to date and it doensn't show anything downloading.

However I see in the windows logs that it is downloading stuff and this eats up my internet connection (it is busy downloading for over an hour now and this slows everything down)

Restore Back To Windows 8 From Windows 10 (I Really Need Fast Answer)

When I Tried The Option From Settings, It Says I Need 7.99 GB More Of Space



I Decided To Run Disk Cleanup. I Had These Two Big Files. Previous Windows Installation 5GB (The Windows.old Folder) and TEMPORARY WINDOWS INSTALLATION FILE (7GB). I know that removing Previous Windows Installation Will Remove My Option To Go Back To Windows
8. Is It Okay That I Remove The TEMPORARY WINDOWS INSTALLATION FILE without losing that revert option? I Really Need An Answer.

 

I always click everything - keeping stuff is for real experts with very specific reasons. Never ever had a problem.

Does delete windows.old - remember you cannot rollback in 30 days though.

 

"Previous Windows Installation" = windows.old
"Temporary Windows Installation" = downloaded installation file (~Bt.... ) folder.
