Windows 10: Rename bulk jpg files with customize name

Hi, I have bulk of .jpg files in folders with different name i need to rename all of them with a with a new nameExample;-image00001.jpg image00002 - _6614.jpg image00002.jpg image00003 - _6615.jpg image00003.jpg image00004 - _6616.jpg image00004.jpg image00005 - _6617.jpg i want to rename only 000**- _***** and replace it withimage00001.jpg >image00006.jpgimage00002 - _6614.jpg >image00007.jpgimage00002.jpg >image00008.jpg image00003 - _6615.jpg >image00009.jpgimage00003.

Thanks for the reply. The Bulk Rename Utility does not open files. It just renames them. But while running the Bulk Rename Utility, you can double click (or right click and open) on a file name and the image will open using the default app for jpg files. At my home computer, I start Bulk Rename and see a list of jpg files to rename. I click on a file name and it opens the image with Microsoft Photos on my screen. At my office, I do the same thing and I get a MS Photos icon on the taskbar.

I have tried using different default apps for jpg files like MS Paint and get the exact same results. For some reason, my office computer is not opening the jpg files so that I can see them but just creating a Photos icon on the taskbar.

Looks like the Bulk Rename Utility is not the default app for .jpg files,

to change it, right-click any .jpg file > Open With > Choose another app > Check the box "Always use this app to open .jpg files" > Select the Bulk Rename Utility and click OK.

If you don't find the Bulk Rename Utility on the list, click "More Apps", if you still don't see it, click "Look for another app on this PC" and select the Bulk Rename Utility shortcut or executable file.

 

Bulk change file 'Title' Name for files (not file 'name')

Hi - I want to know how to bulk change the 'TITLE' in files on my computer.

Scenario is that I download audiobooks by the chapter to put on my Garmin watch. The audiobooks download with the 'NAME' listed by chapter, e.g. "XYZ Chapter 01", but the 'TITLE' in generically named "XYZ" for all chapters.

When I transfer them across to my Garmin watch, the order gets scrambled, and I have worked out that I can fix the by renaming the TITLE to the same as the NAME, e.g. with chapter 01, 02, 03... in the TITLE name.

This is very time consuming to individually name each chapter, especially when most books have 30+ chapters. I know that I can bulk change the NAME by 'select all' and renaming, which automatically adds 01, 02, etc. to the name, but if I bulk change the TITLE, they just end up with the exact same name, e.g. all would be "XYZ chapter 01".
