Windows 10: RENAME OF DESKTOP FOLDER NAME AD domain, Roaming profile, Redirected folder

Hi,how to rename Desktop folder the shown name in case of redirected documents?In local profiles, it's easy. Just click on it in the Explorer. But in case of redirected folder, the field is disabled and we would like to rename it to the localized name.We redirect it to \\ournas\\AdHomes\%username%\DesktopThe name shown on the computers is "Desktop". But we would like it to the show translated "Plocha".

Paths to profile folders subject to folder redirection

Sayan, thanks for your reply, but what you state is only true if the profile folders Pictures, Documents, etc, have not been redirected out of the profile folder.

In a user profile with folder redirection of these folders, the %USERPROFILE% folder does NOT contain folders / junctions for the redirected folders on a Win10 system. (Win7 systems DO have junctions in the %USERPROFILE% folder for these redirected folders.)

 

Creating folder on desktop redirected folders error

Might be a conflict with the anti-virus software.

> Try to turn-off your anti-virus software and check if the issue still persists.

Possible malware infections.

> Try scanning the system using the anti-virus software.

Possible user profile restrictions/ corrupted user profile.

> Try creating a new profile to check if the issue still persists.

Possible faulty hard drive.

> Perform a Check Disk by following the steps given on this thread.

Possible conflict with other programs.

> Perform a clean boot to eliminate software conflict.

In addition, try this please:

Go to> 'This PC' > 'Windows (C): > "Users" > (your username)

Check if there is folder 'Desktop' > if not > create a new folder by > 'R/click' anywhere on screen > select 'New' > select 'Folder' > User name/click on 'New folder' created & select 'Rename' > rename it 'Desktop', > close window> return to desktop check if
you can create a 'new folder' on Desktop.

Let me know the results.
