  1. Renaming files in OneDrive has automatic reselection of all

This problem has unhappily continue to exist for several generations of windows, and is still a perpetual annoyance in Windows 10, most notably with the OneDrive folder, Microsoft's own cloud drive solution.Simply put, if renaming a file, when you press F2 it selects the whole name less the filetype. If you move the cursor to change/insert one part of the name, about 2 seconds later it automatically reselects the whole name again, causing you to erase the whole filename if you continue typing. If you catch it you can press escape before hitting enter to save the old name, and then start over

    :)

  2. Windows 10 - OneDrive

Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.

  3. Cannot rename files and folders in OneDrive

If you encounter the same concern for files and folders saved outside the
    OneDrive
folder, it's possible that the issue can be associated to the recent update. To determine the possible cause, we suggest that you run a full scan (SFC) and
DISM to automatically fix any corrupted registry files. To do this, follow the steps created by community MVP
    ZigZag3143 on this
    wiki article
. Once you're done, check if you can now rename your files and folders on your device.

Let us know if you encounter any challenges along the process.

Cannot rename files and folders in OneDrive

    Hi,

Failure to rename the folders stored in your OneDrive folder may indicate a possible sync error. As an initial step to refresh OneDrive, you can unlink the account by performing the steps provided on this

    link
to re-sync your folders. Once your done, check if you encounter the same error.

In addition, sign-in to your account through
