    Solution: Remove W10 driver & install Renesas driver
    ( Windows Creative Upgrade had replaced 3.0.23.0 driver with its own.)

    Problem being -
    When creating a Recovery USB drive, the process would not complete with a vague error message,
    "We can't create the Recovery Drive, A Problem occurred creating the Recovery drive".

    This was happening with USB 3.0 flash drive plugged into my USB 3 board. Come to find out, this did not happen when using the same flash drive, plugged in to the mother boards usb 2.0 port.

    That is when I looked at driver version for the Renesas board, replaced the W10 driver & problem cleared.

    USB 3.0 not working after window update.

    Based on the Hardware Ids there does not appear to be a specific Windows 10 driver available for the device (NEC\Renesas Electronics USB 3.0 Host Controller).

    There are a couple things you could try.

    One is to uninstall any Renesas USB 3.0 driver and use Windows 10 built-in USB 3.0 driver.

    The other is to install a previous version of the Renesas USB 3.0 driver that worked in a previous version of Windows.

    I might suggest to first try the Windows 10 built-in USB 3.0 driver.

    Is there an entry for the Renesas USB 3.0 in "Uninstall or change a program"?

    If so, can you uninstall the Renesas USB 3.0 driver, restart the computer, and see if USB 3.0 works.

    If there is no entry for the Renesas USB 3.0 in "Uninstall or change a program" post back.

    When starting computer Renesas USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller - 0.96 (Microsoft) and USB 3.0 root hub missing from device manager

    I tried it before. Doesn't work. In the first place both the USB 3.0 root hub and renesas 3.0 doesn't appear .
