    REPAIR OSD LOCKOUT

    "OSD Lockout" on an HP monitor using Windows 10

    I'm getting two obstructions on my screen due to the OSD Lockout issue. The first is a box that displays menu options in a large format that I cannot access. When I hold down the Menu button, all it does is switch the box to a white one that says OSD lockout.
    It's all in the center of the screen and I can't move either one. Both of these keep alternating. I've tried unplugging the monitor, both from power source and the computer; I've rebooted again and again. The power button to the monitor itself will not allow
    me to turn it off. I've downloaded Slimware Utilities and so many drivers that I don't know what I've got on here now. My computer is set to automatically look for updates every day. Wouldn't that include drivers for the monitor? I read one post that has
    a video of a way to get into the guts of the monitor to unplug some wire, but that seems drastic? I'm really stuck! Can't get anything done....
