Windows 10: Repairing Disk Errors Loop. Can't get to the Windows Recovery Enviornment

Last night my laptop crashed and gave me a blue screen with what I believe had something to do with system registry or something? It restarted and went into Automatic Repair and was stuck on the "Repairing disk errors. This might take over an hour to complete." screen and stayed there for at least 4 hours.


I tried to boot up into safe mode but it refuses to take me to the blue Windows Recovery environment. I've tried the shift+F8 Method and I've also tried hard restarting three times. But each time it starts up the automatic repair screen, goes to diagnosing computer, the screen goes black and for a moment it looks like a command box shows up before it goes right back to Repairing Disk errors.


I'm worried I might have to bring it into a repair shop which I do not have the money for at all. Please help!

Disk Read Error

/p flags good, I'm still thinking it's something in your boot sector and not hardware related.

Try this:

Insert your XP disk and boot from the disk
Select recovery console
follow the promts until you are in DOS
C:\windows
at the above prompts type FIXMBR

Why?
This will fix the Mater Boot Record for Windows it will ask you if you are sure and follow the prompts

once complete type CHKDSK /r
that is CHKDSK space /r
this will check the disk and repair any bad sectors

once complete type exit

 

What should I have as backup-a RECOVERY disk or a REPAIR disk? Are these the same or different?

Got the free upgrade to Windows 10 and I need to start making some kind of a Repair/Recovery disk.

Are these the same thing? Are they different?

Can someone list the steps needed to make this/ these disk (s)?
