  1. Repeated BSODs on brand new computer with no apps installed and default drivers

I've been using a brand new computer for about three days and have been experiencing recurring BSODs since the first session of use.

I had a few apps, games and drivers installed, so I assumed that one of them was the problem but couldn't find the source of the issue so I reset Windows 10 but I had another BSOD almost immediately after booting up.

I've run Driver Verifier as described in this post(https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-update/driver-verifier-tracking-down-a-mis-behaving/f5cb4faf-556b-4b6d-95b3-c48669e4c983) and have gathered the DMP files. Please help resolve the issue.

Also please note that before the resetting the OS, the stop codes I saw were mostly of the type"Security_Kernel_Check_Failure" or something like that while I saw "Corrupt_Pool_Memory" once.

I also switched the GTX1030 out for a GTX960 and did a clean installation of Nvidia's driver package a couple of times but the issues have persisted.

    Systems Specs:

    Ryzen 2600x

    MSI X470 Gaming Plus mobo

    DDR4 2400ghz RAM-16GBx1 Stick

    Kingston SSD 480 GB

    1TB WD Black HDD

    2TB Seagate Barracuda HDD

    GTX 960 Video Card

  2. HELP ! BSOD with brand new computer.

    Hi,

I just bought a brand new computer running with Windows 10.

When I first turned it on, I had a BSOD within 1min. I had to do a "hard" restart because it crashed again when it restarted.

While I was doing the initial configuration, it may have crashed 3 times more. Then, I started to install the usual software (Office, Adobe, Anti-virus...) and it crashed again at least twice.

I did all the steps that are listed here.

Below is the OneDrive link to the zipped folder:

    Files_dmp.zip

There should be the last three .dmp file, the system info and the computer specification.

If you need any other information, please let me know.

Thank you for your help !

  3. Brand new PC BSoD

    Hi,

Corrupted drivers and system files are one of the possible reasons why this issue is happening. We'd like to get additional information to help resolve the issue. Kindly answer the following questions below:

    • What is the stop error code showing on the screen whenever you experience BSoD? (e.g.: 0x0000000A, 0x0000003B, and 0x000000EF)
    • Did you installed any third-party applications on your new computer before the issue started?
    • Is there a specific action you're doing on the computer that triggers BSoD?
In the meantime, we suggest performing the possible solutions in this
    article
to help resolve blue screen errors.

We'll keep an eye out for your response.

Repeated BSODs on brand new computer with no apps installed and default drivers

    BSOD- atikmpag.sys

This is most likely due to an installation/upgrade error with ATI driver's. I suggest doing DriveSweeper and the following:
    • Drivesweeper all drivers & in Safe Mode
    • Unistall all drivers that aren't used in DriveSweeper (CCC Profiler Updates, MSI AfterBurner, anything related to ATI that use's it's drivers.)
    • After you do this, the first thing you need to do is go into Device Manager and Unistall your ATI Drivers

Once your done, restart the PC and then try installing the latest drivers.

I had several issues with this in the past, but I overcame it with logical reasoning and whenever I have a driver issue, I just use these steps and I always overcome the problem.

    Best of luck! *Toast :toast:
