    Repeated DPC watchdog violation


    I am at the end of my tether with this and have tried everything I can think of!

    The laptop is running windows 10 home

    About 2 weeks ago I started getting DPC watchdog violations occuring at seemingly random times eg while watching videos on youtube, opening links from emails or trying to access information about the HDD.

    I ran a check disk, check file and switched HDD drivers. The check file came back fine, but the check disk showed that the HDD needed some repairs I let windows do its thing.

    After these changes the errors continued.

    After reading that sometimes this can be caused by certain files namely 2 conflicting anti-virus's, so I uninstalled norton. Again no change, I decided to run memtest, to see if its an issue with the ram, it came back normal. Apparently updating BIOS can fix this, so I went and did that, but again no change.

    I did a clean install of windows, and it seemed to fix it for a bit, but then the errors started appearing again. By now, I had completely had it and decided to replace the hard drive.

    This brings us to where we are today, whenever I try to connect to my home network I get the dreaded blue screen. Now i'm starting to wonder if its an error with the NIC rather than the HDD?

    I checked error logs, and before the BSOD, I get this warning


    The application specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM server application with CLSID

    CLSID IS LISTED

    And APPID

    APPID IS LISTED

    to the user NT AUTHORITY\LOCAL SERVICE SID S-1-5-19 from address LocalHost Using LRPC running in the application container Unavailable SID. This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.


    Has anyone else had this issue?

    Can anyone decode the log for me?

    To assist you further, kindly answer the questions below:

    • Have you made any changes to your computer prior to this issue?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
    • Have you tried the troubleshooting steps on this
      link       that was provided by Billion Debbarma on September 19, 2015 and see if you will still encounter the same issue?

    I have an HP desktop that upgraded to windows 10. I continue to have the DPC Watchdog Violation blue screen. Any suggestions?
