  1. Repeated ntoskrnl.exe BSOD

Since I moved my windows install to a new motherboard I'd had a number of crashes, all due to ntoskrnl.exe. After reinstalling windows and putting back some of my software the problem continued. I eventually found out that a setting in HWinfo was a 'potential cause of instability' and turned it off, with everything working well. Until just this afternoon, while I was playing Assassins Creed Odyssey. It'd been quite unstable the past few days, crashing far more often than it did a few months ago. But this afternoon it crashed and took my whole OS with it, giving me another BSOD related to ntoskrnl.exe. In this post I saw someone that seemed to decompile the dumpfile and find a specific program causing the crash, so I'm including it here hoping someone can figure out what's causing this. Here's the output from BlueScreenView:

    • Dump file 010221-7687-01.dmp

And here is the dump file it refers to. Hope someone can help me!

    Hey there Luddle_Pudde!

Evan here an Independent Adviser here to address your issue.

It sounds to me that there may most likely be an issue with one of your memory sticks. I would suggest attempting to first run a memory diagnostic test.

The steps to do so can be found on this website:
    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/for...

When you say you purchased memory sticks, did you replace all the ram in your system or just some?

Also, if you had just recently purchase memory sticks. We know one thing for certain: that the memory sticks you just purchased are working optimally.

Therefore, I would suggest removing your old memory sticks if the above test doesn't come back with any errors. If your games work without any crashing,

My hunch is that this is a ram issue. Have you also attempted to re-install all your drivers for Nvidia?
