    Greetings! Since last Sunday my ASUS laptop has crashed over a dozen times, with the same stop code "DPC_Watchdog_Violation." I've already run disk checks and updated my drivers to the best of my abilities. I also attempted to uninstall the Windows updates that were added from the past month, while running both normally and while booted into safe mode. I'm tired of self-diagnosing and would really appreciate it if someone experienced with debugging tools could look into the memory dump log files generated from my crashes to see what exactly is going wrong.Here is a drive link containing the du

    • Have you made any changes to your computer prior to this issue?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
    • Have you tried the troubleshooting steps on this

    Windows 10 Watchdog violation

    Thank you for your suggestions.

    I tried Clean Boot, and running Windows Update.

    Windows Update did not work; bluescreened with Watchdog Violation Error again.

    Tried Windows Update Assistant. Bluescreened.

    Went to HP website to update drivers, using the laptop in question. Website said this laptop was not tested for Windows 10 generally, and version 1709 specifically, and no drivers were available. Subsequent, repeated search for drivers, with the laptop,
    gave 404 Page Not Found Errors, on the laptop.

    But when I searched for drivers from my homebuilt, non-HP computer, a list of drivers for the laptop was in fact available. I concluded that HP was blocking attempted updating of drivers on the laptop, for the laptop, itself, because it was not tested and/or
    compatible with Win10, and/or version 1709, specifically.

    I could possibly have rolled back to Windows 7, but was not certain it would have worked successfully. I did not want to leave my friend without a functional computer. I advised my friend that a new laptop would be the better choice, in the long run, going
    forward, and that, for now, she could still use the laptop, at least for short periods of time.
