Windows 10: Repetitive "add Yahoo to Chrome"

The last few days when I open Yahoo, there's a banner across the bottom telling me I need to upgrade or update current extension or loose it. I did that but I keep getting that banner even though I did what was required the first time it showed up. If I try doing it again, my only option is to remove the extension from Chrome. If I do that and turn right around and add the extension, I'm good till the next day. I already had blocked Yahoo pop-ups so that doesn't work. How can I get it to stop other than give up Yahoo or Chrome?

Some more ideas:

1. Check for any Chrome extensions causing the problem.
2. Try setting Chrome to defaults if you haven't done this.
3. Search the Registry for instances of "Yahoo" and try and work out what is loading it.
4. Install Autoruns and search for Yahoo to see if anything is loading it.

Regarding the issue that you had with making email replies on your Yahoo, have you tried performing a uninstalling and reinstalling the app?

We suggest that you follow these steps:

• Uninstall the Yahoo Mail app.
• Perform a soft reset by Pressing the Power and Volume down button simultaneously for 15 seconds.
• Once the phone vibrates, release your hold and wait for the phone to finish rebooting.
• Reinstall Yahoo Mail from the store.

Let us know if the issue persists after following the steps above.
