    Replacement mouse for MS Part No. X801524-100; MS Wireless Multimedia Keyboard & Mouse


    I have had this keyboard/mouse combination for years and like it. So, when the mouse suddenly conked out even after replacing the batteries twice in less than an hour, I looked for another combo. No luck. Tried to contact support and all I get is the virtual assistant that does not understand anything yet loves to frustrate the caller.     Replacing intellitype in MS Mouse and Keyboard Center

    Hello:

    I need MS Mouse and Keyboard Center for my new Precision Mouse (only way I could "install" in).

    But I need Intellitype 7 (not 8) for my old Natural Multimedia Keyboard 1.0A (grey, so I can see the keys Replacement mouse for MS Part No. X801524-100; MS Wireless Multimedia Keyboard & Mouse :).

    Thus, my questions is, how do I remove Intellitype 8 from MS Mouse and Keyboard Center?

    And can I then just install Intellitype 7 and all will be bliss?

    MS Mouse and Keyboard Center not working with Windows 10

    Since updating to Windows 10 the MS Mouse & Keyboard Center doesn't show my Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 4000 anymore and therefore I can't customize my Mouse settings. I know my Keyboard (MS Comfort Curve Keyboard 2000) and my Mouse are both on the
    compatibility list for the MS Mouse & Keyboard Center and they did work perfect in Windows 7. Is the MS Mouse and Keyboard Center compatible with Windows 10?

    Replacing intellitype in MS Mouse and Keyboard Center

    Hi Hans,

    Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

    To have a better clarity on the issue and guide you accordingly, kindly help us with the following information.

    • Which version of Windows is installed on the machine?
    (Search winver from the Start menu to know the same)

    • Does your new Precision Mouse not work on IntelliPoint 7.0?

    You may want to download
    IntelliPoint 7.0 Mouse Software for Windows x64     and see if the mouse works fine. If it does, you may use the keyboard and mouse using the same. If it doesn't, I would suggest
    you to upgrade your keyboard as it is no longer supported with newer versions of MS Keyboard and Mouse Centre.

    Additional Info:
    Which devices are supported by Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Centre?
