Windows 10: Replacement of USB Transceiver for Keyboard and Mouse (Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 2000)

My USB Transceiver is not working anymore, I have the Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 2000, how can I get a replacement?

Trying To Pair Keyboard & Mouse To Replacement Transceiver


Hello, I have a keyboard and mouse
• Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 3000 v2.0
• Microsoft Wireless Mouse 5000

and their USB Transceiver broke. So I ordered a used one from eBay, same exact model as a replacement. When I plug it in the computer recognizes it and installs it (whereas for the broken one, the computer states that there's a problem with the device.. hence broken). Yet I am unable to use my wireless mouse and keyboard on this transceiver. How can I pair those two to that transceiver that I got from eBay? I was so excited that it finally came in the mail, yet sadly disappointed that it did not recognized the keyboard and mouse. =(

Microsoft wireless keyboard 2000 transceiver not working

Hello there,
I am shantanu chaudhari from India and I have one of your great product i.e Microsoft wireless keyboard 2000 and mouse 2000 combo.
The reason why it stopped working is that my little brother pushed the pc and as the transceiver was at the back it just broke.
Later after having a closer look it seemed that only the USB broke so I just desoldered the broken one and just soldered the working one.
But it isn't working i have checked every connection it was fine and I am good at electronics so if you contact me back i will send the pictures of transceiver.
And can i pair an other 2.4 ghz transceiver to the keyboard and mouse. If it's possible please tell me cause the keyboard is awesome and I don't wanna throw it away.
Also can I make the keyboard wired somehow? If it doesn't work.
Any help from your side will be very much appreciated.

Before we proceed, I would like you to provide the information stated below:

1. What other troubleshooting steps have you performed to resolve the issue?

2. Did you try uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers in question?

I would suggest that you try the methods that are stated below and check if your problem rectifies.

Method 1: Hardware and Device.

Run the hardware and device troubleshooter to check if there are any errors that might cause driver malfunction.

• On the search bar and type “Troubleshooting”
• Click on troubleshooting, then click on “Hardware and sound”.
• Under Hardware and sound, click on “hardware and devices”.
• A pop-up will appear, click on the “Next” button and your hardware troubleshooting will start.

Method 2: Un-install and Re-install drivers.

• Right click on the Start Menu and select Device Manager
• Open Device Manager, double click and expand Keyboard and
  Mouse respectively
• Right-click the device, and click Uninstall.
• Windows will prompt you to confirm the device’s removal. Click
  OK to remove the driver.
• After the uninstallation is complete, reboot your computer.

Once done, click on the link below to download and install the latest drivers for the devices. Install according to the architecture of the OS, ie, 32 or 64 bit.
