    Replacement of WIFI network adapter

Hello, I have recently replaced on my laptop the internal wifi mini card RTL8187B - 802.11b/g with a newer LCL-RTL8821CE card in order to try to receive 2.4 and 5ghz signal. The Laptop is an old 2010 Notebook made by Clevo computers model : M77SUA - uPGA 479M recently also upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 7. It has an INTEL Pentium T4500 @ 2.30Ghz Penryn 45nm processor.I was hoping actually that as the old card was realtek the new which is also realtek might be plug and play. However after I installed the new card it was not identified in the Device manager and kept showing the old 8187

    :)

Safe Mode with Networking - No network - No WiFi adapter...

I'm not sure what build they made the change in . I have tried every suggestion I found and nothing worked. When in Safe Mode my wireless network doesn't even show up so I can't choose it as a option.

Edit: I just tried booting into Safe Mode. The network icon had a X in it. When I clicked on it the only option was Airplane Mode.

  3. WiFi Adapter question

To be honest, I keep losing my wifi connection and Im almost positive its not due to my internet connection or Router or anything like that. VERY often, everyday, all day it keeps happening. The troubleshooter always resolves it by "reset wifi-adapter" (I believe this is the step it takes that resolves the problem) before it happens again anyways.

    Its driving me nuts !

Most time when it suddenly goes out (the connection) all the networks that should be in "show available networks" or all but the one I was connected to, disappear. I run the troubleshooter and it ends in resetting the wifi adapter. And it works. 10 minutes later, it happens again. Im trying to pin down the problem here.

    Thank you for your help.

Safe Mode with Networking - No network - No WiFi adapter...

    - in which build did this occur?

I have 1903, on a laptop as you can see from my specs. Safe Mode with Neworking (Wi-Fi) works, but there are a couple of steps to get it working. It's possible using an adapter on a desktop is a different matter, I suppose.

This is what I see- your experience may differ.
