  1. Replacing owner on sub containers and objects

Hello!I was changing some permissions for my WindowsApps folder and need some help with certain steps. I have 3 questions.1 I found a previous thread that helped but I did not perform step 6 where I have to “make sure that the Replace owner on sub containers and objects checkbox is selected.” How can I do this after the fact as I have already completed all the steps and I have already set Administrators as the owner.2 I also enabled inheritance in the Permissions tab of the Advanced Security Settings for WindowsApps for Administrators not realizing what it does. Should I not have done this?

    :)

Failure to enumerate objects in the container Access denied

    Hi Steve,

In Windows 10, we can set our stuff public or private by permissions. And it’s easy to set on the file’s properties. But sometimes, when you want to change its permissions, some error occurs. Failed to Enumerate Objects in the Container. But take it easy,
here we are going to tell you the quick and effective way to fix it. Kindly follow the steps below to change the settings:

    • Right-click on the file or folder you want to change its permissions, then choose Properties.
    • Click Advanced under Security pane.
    • Click Change.
    • Type your user name in the box, then click Check Names and OK.
    • Check this two items: Replace owner on sub-containers and objects & Replace all child object permission entries with inheritable permission entries from this object, then click OK.
    • If prompted by Windows Security, click Yes.

Now you can change permissions for your files normally now.

Should you need further assistance, feel free to get back to us.

    Regards.

Failed to Enumarate objects in the Container. Access is Denied. Windows 10

Many thanks for this response, unfortunately it did not work. I followed the instructions above, but I still ended up with an "error applying Security" message box telling me "failed to enumerate objects in the container. Access is denied". Just one point
    - not too sure what you mean by username, I have been using the administrator name that I have given my computer, is that correct? On another point, when I reach point 5 on your list, there is not a
Replace owner on sub containers and objects check box!
