Replacing SSD with 1TB SSD on Laptop

Hi,So Windows 11 is already installed on the original SSD, but is being replaced by a 1TB SSD drive on Alienware M16R1 AMD. When the bootable Windows 11 USB flash drive is accessed the computer indicates that "This PC doesn't meet the minimum system requirements to install this version of Windows." Obviously this is not true. My question is does the 1TB SSD need to be partitioned before installing windows 11 and if so what are the boring details to do so for this specific laptop? lolThanks in advance.

    :)

  2. SSD disappeared and laptop acting weird after HDD replacement?

    Hi!

Long story short (can give more details if it helps), started hearing sounds from laptop and correctly guessed hard disk was in danger of failing. Got it to the repair people before it failed, who copied my data to an external, then replaced my 1TB HDD with
    a 500GB HDD.

I've got a few more issues, but the simplest to answer would be... is it normal that I'm not seeing the second drive (D:/) that I used to have? Replacing the HDD and therefore reinstalling windows 10 shouldn't have messed with the SSD, right? And I'm guessing
unless they physically took it out of the laptop (doubtful), it should still be there. However, laptop can't see it in Disk Management. Currently there's:

    1. C: - about 465GB
    2. Disk 0 partition 3 - 100MB
    3. System reserved - 549MB

The original specifications say "128GB PCIe SSD" - where did it go?!

Thanks Replacing SSD with 1TB SSD on Laptop :(

  3. Install Win 11 to external M.2 SSD via laptop

Hello everyone, I purchased a new NVMe M.2 1TB SSD and my old 512gb SSD is in the laptop. I have a SSD reader by which I can connect the new SSD externally to the laptop. The new SSD is clean and I need to install Win 11 on that so that I can replace my laptop SSD with the new one. Can someone guide me through the steps for the same?

I have 2 SSDs, one in the laptop and one connected externally via the reader. Can it be done with these two options or do we need an additional device for the installation.

Replacing hdd with ssd in a laptop.

    Hey,

I have an acer laptop that has an hdd with windows 10. I would like to replace this hdd with an ssd, but with a clean install of windows 10. Is there a way to transfer win 10 and activate it onto the ssd.

The laptop does not have an additional hdd option.

    Thanks in advance.
