I have had many PCs over the years, and I remote desktop into lots of PCs. I have a bug that no one seems to have reported, or have reported similar issues that never get fixed. The APPEARANCE of the mouse cursor on the remote computer get corrupted, though it continues to function fine. Not the black box that a few have reported, but other, more random appearance issues, like dots all over the cursor or weird thick borders, or the cursor reverts to the default very small cursor I can't see. I have one monitor, so it's not caused by that, though it happens with multiple monitor setups, too.

    :)

  2. Remote Desktop Take Control of Host Computer without Signing Out

With windows 7, I was able to Remote Desktop into my homegroup computer using the same username and password as the account currently logged into the host computer, as an uninterrupted user session. If there were running programs or open windows, I would
see them through the Remote Desktop client computer.

After upgrading to windows 10 on the host PC, that ability seems to have disappeared. Using Remote Desktop to take control will work for about 1-2 seconds before the idle host computer automatically kicks me off of the remote session. If I first go through
the extra step of logging out of the host PC, I can remote into the host PC just like before, but unable to seamlessly transition between locations with open files as I had done before.

Is there a setting that can make this work just like it did in windows 7? (the host computer automatically went to the lock screen)

    [Help] Remote Desktop Connection

Please, how much more automatically you think it could be made?

If you followed my suggestion in my last post you have a shortcut on your remote host desktop to run the tscon command by double clicking it. Instead of closing the remote session from your remote client with one mouse click and leaving the remote host showing the Welcome screen, you'd need to use a double click instead on remote host to automatically close the remote session and sign the current user back in on remote host. A double click instead of a single click.

Short of the remote desktop connection telepathically monitoring your thoughts and closing the session and signing the current user in on the remote host as soon as you think of it, it can't be more automatic. Sadly the telepathy and computers work not well together.

    remote desktop connection

You will need to analyse the various stages that form part of the remote desktop connection. This will require some time and patience.

A remote desktop connection consists of these components:

    • A host (which must run Windows Professional). This is the machine that you wish to control.
    • A client (which can run any version of Windows). This is the machine that you work on.
    • A link that connects the client with the host.
Is the host on the same network as the client or is it on a different network?
