    Reprogram Copilot key

On my new Windows 11 computer, the right Ctrl button has been converted to a button that opens Copilot. I would like to reassign the button but to being a Ctrl button. There are a lot of posts out there about how the Copilot button is really a combination shortcut Shift + Win + F23 and to use PowerTools to reroute the shortcut to Ctrl. A point of emphasis is that you must reroute the shortcut, not the key. However, this method does not seem to work. When I implement this, it simply disables the key. So, while Copilot stops being opened, the key does not function as a Ctrl key.Any ideas how to

None of the methods to disable Copilot work, can't even hide it

I suggest you post your question in the tutorial thread to find out if Brink or the other tutorial participants can help you Enable or Disable Copilot - TenForumsTutorials Best of luck, Denis

  3. Reprogram Function Keys

I have an HP Pavilion 15-cs1067nr laptop with Windows 10, received September, 2019.

For years, on many computers I've owned, F2 has always been used to rename a file or edit a cell in Excel.

On this new laptop my F2 function key only adjusts the screen brightness.

To rename a file I now must right click and go way down the list and select Rename, or hold down the fn key and press F2.

To edit a cell in Excel I have to double click the cell or hold down the fn key and press F2.

Not a major hardship but just annoying and slow.

Anybody know how to reprogram function keys on a laptop in Windows 10? I would be very appreciative.

    Thanks much

How to disable copilot in Windows 11 23H2?

There is a solution to keep Copilot out of your eyesight, it does not permanently remove or uninstall Copilot from your Windows 11 environment. Microsoft is persistent and Copilot is inevitable, not to mention the latest computers are equipped with a dedicated Copilot Key in the keyboard. Hence, it is up to us to get used to this feature, and also the field of AI is exponentially increasing, so it is better to get used to it. However, the simple solution is to disable copilot via Taskbar as you mentioned that Policy Editor didn't help. The following are the steps.

    • Go to Windows Settings.
    • Click on Personalization.
    • Under Taskbar, you can find Copilot (preview)
    • Toggle the switch to Off.
    • In this way, Copilot can be kept out of sight.

I hope the same works for you.
