Windows 10: Request for Assistance with Local Account Security Questions and Password Reset

Over seven years ago, I created this account and set up three security questions as part of the recovery process. Unfortunately, I have since forgotten the exact answers to those questions, and the ones I believe to be correct are not being accepted. But why not give the user the option to disable Option Five? Why force it on users? Some people (like myself) don't want there to be an easy (and arguably not secure) way to do a password reset.

Without the questions, there would be no way to verify if it's you when resetting the password on the sign-in screen, so they just made it a requirement.

It's basically the local account's version of the Microsoft account's two-step verification.

However, if you don't use a password for the local account, you won't have any questions.
