Windows 10: Request for License Recovery – Windows Server 2016

Dear Microsoft Support Team,I am writing to request assistance in recovering our Windows Server 2016 license and Client Access Licenses CALs. We have the purchase invoice and license number, but we no longer have access to the registered email or phone number.Our server is currently not activated, and we need to recover our license key for reactivation. Windows Server 2016 Upgrade

When updating from windows server 2012 R2 to server 2016, I'm not getting the step by step procedures where you can select keep file and apps and other steps. I just get the setup screen, which after couple of minutes it display a window to select what type of windows server you want to install.

Once selected it does a full install of windows server 2016, which re-images the C drive. Afterwards you have to re-install all your applications.

Any suggestions on why it doesn't go through the step by step procedures.

How to caculate license Windows Server 2016

Hi guys. I have 3 questions bellow, Please help me if you know.

1. How to caculate license Windows Server Nano? it same as Windows Server Core 2016 and Windows Server Desktop Experience( license base core)?

2. What is difference beetween Windows Nano Standard and Windows Nano DataCenter?

3. I know that Windows Server Hyper-V 2016 free license, but If I deploy virtual machine which run Windows Server 2016, Virtual machine's License base on virtual processor's virtual machine or core's physical server?

Example I have 1 physical server, it has 1 processor 24 core. I enable Hyper-threading, so i have 48 virtual processor.After I install Windows Server Hyper-V 2016 and I create 3 virtual machine on it

VM1: 8 virtual processor( It run Windows Server 2016 Desktop Expereience)

VM2: 16 virtual processor( It run Windows Server 2016 Desktop Expereience)

VM3: 24 virtual processor( It run Windows Server 2016 Desktop Expereience)

how many license I need to use in the case?

Windows server 2016 licensing

Hi, I'm trying to understand the licensing requirements for server 2016. The documentation I have found says 1 license covers up to 16 cores, I have several servers, each with a single quad-core cpu. Do I need 1 license per physical server, or can one licence
cover 4 servers (16 total physical cores)?
