Request to change my account password to the previous one, or change the user-set password...

Dear Microsoft Support Team,I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to express my sincere concern regarding the recent mandatory password change for my Microsoft account. For the past decade, I have used a seven-character password without any issues. However, during the process of reinstalling Windows 10, I was forced to create a new password that must meet the criteria of being longer than eight characters and including a combination of letters and numbers. I understand that this is done for the sake of data security, but I wish to convey my circumstances and request your understanding

  2. Changing User Accounts Password

    Hi Eddy,

If you are an Admin user for your Windows 10 device, it’s still possible to change another user’s password. To perform the said task, follow these steps:

    • Simultaneously press Windows + R to open the Run dialog box.
    • Once accessed, type netplwiz and hit
      Enter.
    • Select the user and choose Reset password.
    • Change it to your preferred password.

Once done, you may close the window and try to use the new password for the account.

Don’t hesitate to give us updates on your query.

  4. Request to change my account password to the previous one, or change the user-set password...

Request to change my account password to the previous one, or change the user-set password requirements.

    Dear Microsoft Support Team,

I hope this email finds you well. I understand that this is done for the sake of data security, but I wish to convey my circumstances and request your understanding.

Over the years, I have maintained a strong commitment to internet security and have developed excellent habits to protect my computer. The previous seven-character password, which I had used for a decade, was unique and distinct from any other passwords associated with my social media, Nike account, work-related accounts, and more. In contrast, the new ten-character password I was compelled to create is now the same as several of my other account passwords. The reason for this password reuse is the belief that my online habits and computer security measures are sufficient to ensure the safety of my accounts. Therefore, I am not overly concerned about the potential security implications of using the same password for multiple accounts.

In light of these circumstances, I find it challenging to adapt to the sudden change that required me to abandon a password I have used for a decade. While I understand the intent behind encouraging strong passwords, I believe that these recommendations should remain as just that—recommendations. Users should have the autonomy to choose passwords that they feel are appropriate for their unique situations. After all, someone with inadequate knowledge of online security could potentially have their account compromised regardless of the password's complexity if the unfortunate event of a breach were to occur.

With that said, I humbly request your assistance in reverting to my previous password, which holds sentimental value as a reminder of my ten-year journey with Microsoft. I created my Microsoft account a decade ago when I purchased a Lumia 920, and it has since become an integral part of my digital life. I hold deep affection for it, and I am not ready to part with the memories associated with this password.

I implore you to consider my plea and kindly allow me to return to my original password. It would mean a great deal to me and preserve the sentiment that I have attached to my Microsoft account over the years.

Thank you for your understanding and assistance in this matter. I eagerly await your response and hope for a favorable resolution.

    Sincerely,

    Ali
