Windows 10: required application data could not be found. please check your application directory and...

When I open my computer, I cannot do anything on my taskbar. absolutely everything is locked, but the apps I have sticked to my home screen are available. So the first time I this showed up I just pressed ctrl + alt + delete and signed out when I logged back in it showed up like this

How did Windows conclude that there are ten directories under Local Settings\Application Data\ -all called "Application Data"?

I have grown tired of Windows 10 refusing me "administrative privileges" to do numerous tasks, so I am attempting to "Take Ownership" of various elements of the operating system. I am the Admin, and I am the only User on this computer.

So this is a bizarre development. In the command prompt, it can't find the path of some of the Application data; and that is no surprise, because this is what it thinks the path looks like, apparently:

The question I have is, why are there 10 levels of directories called "Application Data" ... In fact, these directories do not exist. There is only one level. I wonder how it is that Windows thinks there is a Russian doll structure of directories inside
of directories, all with the same name? And how to repair this if possible.

I have so many questions these days. I thank you for the help you offer here.

It must be difficult when things do not work as expected.

If the issue persists, I suggest you to check whether the applications are compatible or not from the manufactures website. If these applications are compatible, I suggest you to run the application in compatible mode and check if it helps to
resolve the issue.

Please follow the below steps:

• Right click on the Program
• Click on Properties
• Click on Compatibility tab
• Select Run this program in compatibility mode and select the operating system accordingly from the drop down list.
