Windows 10: Reselling OEM USB

Hello,


Not sure if this is the right place to ask. I recently found an electronics supplier that offers Windows 10 OEM USB Flash drives for relatively low prices https://www.voltekk.com/collections...rosoft-windows-10-pro-usb-flash-drive-english.


A friend who resells them offered to sell me one said it's that cheap because they are OEM, and showed me an invoice from the supplier, but I noticed on that invoice that he was ordering hundreds of USB keys and the invoice included a single activation key, which I though was weird considering he purchased around 200 USB flash drives.


Is this a legitimate practice? I did some research on other websites where these are sold and saw some bad reviews saying the key supplied by the seller didn't work at all, or that it was a key for Windows 7, which leads me to think that these sellers could be providing fake keys after the purchase and that these USB flash drives aren't really OEM, and simply USB drives with a windows 10 install.

OEM Licensing

Hi there,

We are system builders, deploying lots of devices that are running Windows 10.

Currently, we must obtain OEM licensing from a reseller, and require being sent a USB for each licence we require.

We would like access to the facility to:

• Purchase Windows licenses for resale in bulk at a discount
• Deploy with OEM tools
• Access the licences easily, without having to purchase through another reseller or require USB drives being sent out to us

I have spent a very long time searching through the Microsoft Partners website, as well as reading through forum posts.

I've come across 1 useful post reply from a Microsoft rep that links to all the requirements and certifications of becoming a licence reseller, however the post reply was from 2007, and all the links are broken.

Can anyone please advise:

• Certification requirements of becoming authorised to resell Microsoft licenses
• What method of managing license keys/purchasing is available to these resellers.

Can I resell Windows 10 license OEM?


As mentioned, if that OEM version of Windows 7 10 has already been installed and activated, it is not transferable to another PC. You can not legally resell it. OEM licenses are non transferable.

 

Can I resell Windows 10 license OEM?


The product code is most likely embedded in the BIOS. If so the install media is useless without it. If used on another PC that does not have an OEM embedded key, it will prompt for a key. Don't enter a key and it will fail activation. That OEM embedded key is non transferable. You cannot resell that OEM install media. Doing so is illegal.
