Windows 10: Reserve mouse scroll wheel

In another post that is now locked from replying convenient, the question was basically, "How can I reverse the scroll direction of my mouse wheel?" One answer was this: If you're using a mouse to navigate on Windows 10, the Settings app doesn't include an option to reverse the scrolling direction. However, you can still modify the scrolling behavior using the Registry.My question is: If it's supported in the registry, then why hasn't it been added to the mouse settings page in Windows Setting? There can be numerous causes of the issue that you're having with your mouse scroll wheel speed such as outdated drivers, dirt, damaged cables, and more. To correct such issue, we suggest that you adjust the scroll speed of your mouse wheel using the steps
below:

• Click Start > Settings.
• Go to Devices > Mouse & touchpad.
• Under Choose how many lines to scroll each time, move the slider to the right to make the speed of your mouse wheel faster.

With regard to cleaning the inside of your mouse, you have to contact its manufacturer to get proper instructions.

Microsoft Modern Mouse (Bluetooth) Scroll Wheel not working.

the scroll wheel on my Microsoft Modern Mouse (Bluetooth) stopped working. I have done all troubleshooting steps: system updates, installed Microsoft Keyboard and Mouse Center, disconnected mouse and reconnected. Nothing has worked yet. Haven't yet tried
it on a different PC. Don't have another Microsoft PC. Have a MacBook, but not sure the mouse can work on that. Any suggestions?
