Windows 10: Reset Another User's Password

OMG, why make things more and more difficult! For whatever reason my wife has not used my PC in ages, and now we cannot figure out what her password is. No problem I thought, just log in as admin, find my user, select "Manage Another Account" and then change the password. Err - except that since a Windows update at some point, all I can now do is change her account type, remove her or create another account.

I'm not stupid I spend my days cranking out C# code, so I know my way around a keyboard, but how do I reset a password? Even Google only knows the old way of doing it. Please could someone just point me at some new documentation?

Cannot access my User Account on local machine but can access Admin account. Need help finding password but NOT reset it as it will delete saved data.

If you reset the local account password it will not delete the Saved data.

I suggest you to back up the saved data and files from the admin account and try to reset the password and check if it helps.

Follow the steps below to reset the password.

  Press Windows + R.

  Type netplwiz and press enter.

  Select the user account.
  
• 
  Click on Reset Password.
