  1. Reset my pc, boot time very slow now

So I did a pc factory reset from within the windows menu.

Followed a guide and deleted some partitions on a drive of mine Wich used to have 3 parts, into one.

From pressing the power button to the login screen used to be about 9 seconds, now it’s over 30 secs. Then after logging in it lags pretty hard for another minute before starting up. I opened task manager right after logging in and it said CPU was at 100% usage.

Did I delete my SSD? I did download drivers for some of my components

Persistent slow boot - Windows 10 with SSD

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I appreciate the time you took for the research and perform the troubleshooting, we will need more information to troubleshoot on this issue.

    1. If you could provide us with the troubleshooting that you have already performed, it will be helpful.
    2. Are you aware of any recent changes made to the system prior to this issue?

Windows could be booting up slow if there is more application to startup when Windows boot for the first time, below are few of the steps you can try.

    Method 1:

    1. Try to
boot your computer into Safe Mode
and check if it still take time.
    2. If the system boots fine then it’s the third party service or application that is causing the slow boot issue.
    3. You can try to perform
      Clean Boot
and detect which application or service is causing this issue.
    4. On the article above search for the topic How to determine what is causing the problem after you do a clean boot
after you have put the computer to clean boot.
    5. After you have found the cause of the issue, you can search for other steps on the same article
Reset the computer to start normally after clean boot troubleshooting.

    Method 2:

If you still face the issue you can check the article

Tips to improve PC performance in Windows 10
    .

To keep you informed the last topic contacts
    Reset your PC,
I suggest you not to reset your PC, as resetting your PC will revert the system back to previous OS that you upgraded from and you will lose Application installed on the system.

If you still face the issue, reply to this post with more information.

    Hope it helps.

How to factory reset Cisco 1700 Router

Hopefully I can help you here....its a very common thing to happen.

First, I take it you dont know the passwords for console access or telnet/ssh?

I will assume that these devices belong to you.

step 1. Plug a cisco console cable into a serial port on your pc
step 2. Plug other end into Cisco console port
step 3. Using hyperterm or putty or similar connect to the serial port
step 4. boot router, and make sure you clearly can see the output (this confirms you have good serial comms)
step 5. if this fails, adjust the comm port settings (9600, 8,1,n are the default)
step 6. now you have to do the only hard part...send the break command:

    Break command list: Break Commands

Go down the list and match your OS and SW and try the sequence suggested.

If this fails several times do what I do: Install putty (free) and then to send a break so you can get into rommom just hit "ctrl-a b".

Reset my pc, boot time very slow now

Another Windows 10 slow boot up question

    To Stefano

After completing the first set of steps you suggested, my boot time has now gone to 20min. Reset my pc, boot time very slow now :( I am trying to get to scandisk to see if it is a disk error, but i have defragged it previously.

    To Kapil,

I managed to get it to the command prompt selection, but then it just skips the request and goes in to boot mode. Do I have to run sysconfig in troubleshooting mode or can I just run it as an admin once it boots?

    To Peter,

I tried everything you suggested. The slow boot up is after my reset of win10.
