Windows 10: Reset My PC With "Keep My Files" Removed Files From Downloads Folder

When I researched this action, I found on forums online that files in C:\Users\YourName files would be saved, but everything in my downloads folder ended up being deleted. Since it's under C:\Users\YourName\Downloads, why did this happen? I had a lot of files that I ended up losing, and my PC was having issues to the point where I couldn't really properly make a backup of my files before the reset, so I'm pretty disappointed tbh. Now, there's no options to select for system restore and no option to revert to the previous build of Windows. It's a long shot, but is there any sort of options left

Generating a .txt based file list in Windows 7

I want to be able to generate a .txt file that lists all the files and folders in a specific folder on my PC, but don't know the name of any programs that do that. Searched on google a bit and came up with this guide, but it's for XP and I can't seem to find some of the folder options to modify the .bat file. Any suggestions? Thanks

EDIT: The .bat file will do what I want if it is in the folder I want to do it in, but the option I want to add is having the right click option that it shows.

you get the idea. ( too lazy to put it in a for loop and test it.

or just open regedit and remove all the fileX from that key.

 

Java.nio.file - Copying files

You can't copy a folder, thats why it generates an exception (you are trying to copy a folder using a copy file function).
You probably need to list all the files inside that folder and copy one by one
