Windows 10: Reset Protection

Hello,I'm trying to close my Microsoft account since I don't use it all that much, but upon doing this, I receive a notification about turning off the "Reset Protection". It says that it is located under the "Devices" section of my account, but I can't find it anywhere. I tried searching for it on my computer but I still can;t find it. I though that unlinking my device from my account would work, but that seems to not be the case. I searched around the internet for some answers, but I have yet to find anything about turning off this feature.Can anyone help with this and provide an actual answe

Reset Protection Notification

Hi Team,

I reset my Microsoft Lumia 650 device ( Hard Reset ), and trying to configure freshly.

After the WiFi Configuration is done, the system is prompting with "Reset Protection Notification" and I am not able to proceed further.

Contacted B2X Team, Microsoft Support Team and found no resolution.

What I did:

• Hard Reset my Mobile Device (It went Successfully)
• Microsoft (Initial) screen displays and started new configuration
• Selected the Country and the Time Zone
• Configured the WiFi Connectivity (Successful)
• Reset Protection Notification.

Here in this step, I tried to log in with my Microsoft Account, unable to do so on Mobile, but able to log in successfully on my Laptop

Request any one of you, please suggest to overcome this issue.

Checking your Windows Phone Reset Protection status:

Before you buy a previously owned Windows Phone, check to make sure that Reset Protection on the phone is turned off. To check your phone’s Reset Protection status:

• Go to account.microsoft.com/resetprotection .
• On the Reset Protection Status page, enter the IMEI or MEID. Find it by dialling *#06# from the phone.

Note: Reset Protection helps you secure a device in case it is stolen. It must be enabled on the device during manufacturing time.
