Discus and support Reset Windows (Backing Up Files) in Windows 10 Installation and Upgrade to solve the problem; Hi, if I'm going to reset Windows 10 and I select "Remove everything", would copying all my files, apps and games to an external HDD and moving them...     Reset Windows (Backing Up Files)


    Hi, if I'm going to reset Windows 10 and I select "Remove everything", would copying all my files, apps and games to an external HDD and moving them back to my desktop's SSD be an issue? As opposed to reinstalling everything again. Thanks.

    Backing up files to reset laptop to factseings

    I need to back up my computer and reset it to factory settings because windows 10 messed up the quick start feature, drains the battery and slows my laptop down. My laptop is less than a year old. Once i use the windows back up feature and restore my computer
    to factory settings, all my programs and files, are in the backed up files, correct? and I will not loose anything?

    As per your query, I would like to inform you that; In Windows 10 to backup the files using File History you need an external hard disk or a network location. Refer to the below link to know more about file history.

    Welcome to the forum. You can copy docs,photos etc but you will have to reinstall all software
