Windows 10: "Reset Windows login PIN code" emails not being received

I am helping a housemate reset their Windows login PIN but the "reset code" emails are not being received. My friend's laptop required repairs including the motherboard being replaced. That was all done this morning and the device a Dell Inspiron laptop is now working as expected.....or it would be if she could log in to Windows on the device. Now, when she attempts to log in to her laptop, after putting in her correct BitLocker recovery key, it says her PIN is no longer active and needs to be reset. Clicking on the "reset PIN" link opens the following expected screen:Her Microsoft email

Login Issues, not getting email with code to reset PIN

Hi,

It's been over 2 weeks and still I am not able to login to my computer which hampered by business,

When I tried to login it says My Account is blocked because of multiple incorrect passwords and guided me to reset my PIN number, when I follow the same and entered my email address it says I will receive a Code to my email and I have never received even after multiple attempts.

Forgotten PIN and expired password

Thanks for your answer.

I tried steps of both links:

• #1: reset PIN code
  
  • I see no link "reset your PIN"on login page --> I can't reset it
    
• #2: change or reset windows password
  
  • My Windows account is not displayed at all on login page.
    
  • I am using a local account
    

If you have any other suggestion, I would be more than happy to try.
