Windows 10: Reset Windows Security

Hi!Will clicking the Reset button in the Windows Security app settings also reset/delete virus definitions and security updates? The description next to the button reads: "If this system component still isn't working right, reset it. The system component's data will be deleted."

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
