Windows 10: Resetting BIOS = No CMOS battery + can't find documentation showing location of where to...

Hello, I've completely wrecked basically the entire drive and via diskpart clean and several formats, converts, and more. Now I'm trying to reinstall windows or any operating system, but can't boot to USB and can't turn off secure boot because this machine has an admin password that I don't know. It's a Lenovo Yoga 6 13ALC7 82UD with AMD Ryzen 5 5500u w/ Radeon Graphics - 238GB SSD running Windows 11 22H2 or whatever the latest update released is. Is there another way to reset? I've tried looking up videos and articles. Seems to be no CMOS battery or any other way to reset, as it also says in

How to reset the BIOS settings if there's no CMOS battery or jumper?

Many laptops/tablets hide or eliminate the BIOS reset jumper. It's not there or not marked as such. Not like it is on a desktop PC. Mainly to prevent a thief from easily resetting the BIOS/Boot password and getting access. Even removing the BIOS battery will prevent those settings from being reset. Other settings like boot order etc will be returned to defaults though when you remove the CMOS battery. Every laptop I've disassembled has had a CMOS battery, Usually its several batteries in a pack to prolong their effective life. Replacing them can be a real PITA.

 

CMOS checksum error or CMOS battery loss

First step, I would do a CMOS reset. Power off PC, Disconnect the AC power cord, Press the power button for 10 seconds to drain any residual power. Open the case and locate the CR2032 coin cell battery on the motherboard. Remove it for 5 minutes. If you have a new battery I would install that instead of the old one (they usually last 5 years but with the problem, replace the battery). After about 5 minutes install the battery. Connect AC power cord, power on and see it this clears it.

I was able to get into win10 but after the replacement battery, it just gets stuck in the bios load screen, any key press of the mouse or keyboard, the mouse jumps one time to the left, then nothing, I have unplugged every device but the USB Logitech keyboard and mouse.

So on another win10 PC with legacy bios, I replaced the CMOS battery and did not have any issues.

The GA-990FXA-UD5 has dual bios, but I can not access it.
