Windows 10: Resetting local windows 10 password

Hello all,I have been logging into my personal computer for 5 years using a pin instead of the actual password and have forgotten the password completely. I still have access to my computer through logging in through the PIN however want to make sure I know the actual password incase it is needed in the future. I have tried offical microsoft guides however they all say to press a 'forgotten password' button after attempting to enter it however this prompt does not appear for me. Is there any other way to reset this password without knowing it in the first place?Note: I have seen guides online

Reset local account password on Windows 10

Thanks for this information. I reset the lap top but I still don't have an option to set up a new password.

The windows screen still has my name showing.
