Windows 10: Resetting PC resulted in ACPI BIOS ERROR

I was having some issues with my computer randomly having network timeouts, which was interrupting my games. I tried a few things that didn't work, and then I decided to use the option that usually fixes everything, resetting the PC. The first time I tried the reset was canceled due to an error I didn't see the error message, all I saw was "Your PC ran into an error blah blah" when I booted

The network issue persisted so I tried to reset again, this time it was successful. The computer completed its reset, but when it reset to the part where I would usually be asked to set up my PC, I ran into the ACPI BIOS ERROR, which caused my PC to restart. This kept happening in an infinite loop, though sometimes I get a "the battery charging is temporarily disabled message" to pause it, since my computer no longer turns on without being connected to the charger.


I have a USB drive with windows 10 installation on it. but I can't get into the automatic repair screen at all. What can i do to solve this?

• Were there any changes made on your computer before encountering the issue?
• What are the things that you're seeing when you boot up the computer?
• Can your computer still load the Windows Recovery environment page? Windows Recovery environment is a page where you can choose to troubleshoot the computer, continue to Windows 10, or shutdown the computer.

ACPI Bios Error

The BIOS is up to date, nothing in the BIOS lets me turn off ACPI mode its not even mentioned, cant reach start up repair and automatic repair results in the same error.

I’ve been working this problem for 3 days now so most of these I have tried, I ran memtest for 9 hours with no fails on the first day. The system has no drivers besides whatever comes with a Win10 install. The only way I could put them on would be to pull
the drive again and install them from my working desktop like I did for Win10.



I’ve just gone through and followed the steps for a clean install including Updating the BIOS to latest, reset to Defaults, making sure SATA controller is set to AHCI, UEFI is enabled, CSM disabled, Windows Boot Manager set first to boot, and disabling Secure
and Fast Boot just to make sure. The same ACPI ERROR happens before anything else so I never get to any kind of install just the ASUS logo screen.



I’m unsure what you mean by “on first screen” for getting to the cmd line the only thing I have any ability to use is the BIOS.
