Windows 10: Resetting then freezes after w10 upgrade to 11

Hi AllI recently got the Microsoft update for the Windows 11 met the requirements. After the update, my tower PC went into a reset loop and then the system repair came up and then froze. It left me no choice but to hit the reset button, which reset 3 times, and then the repair came up and froze again. I have since found… if I disconnect my CD-ROM, the machine will boot up properly and if I reconnect the CD-ROM, it will be recognized and function, but if I were to either hit the reset button or want to shut the computer down it will go through this loop again and freeze. We also suggest that you reset Internet Explorer 11 through these steps:

@Maban - does GPU-Z fail the same way for you the way it does for me? I.e. total system freeze/lockup, requiring a hard reset?

@W1zzard - I will try the suggested steps later today, as I am not near that PC at the moment.

 

IE 11 freezes fairly reliably everyday.
