Windows 10: Resetting windows 10 laptop

So I’m trying to sell my previous laptop but obviously I need to reset it. I’ve been trying to reset it for a long time and nothing seems to work. At all.

So I’ve reset it and it gave me a “Other User” login screen. I’ve reset it and it’s given me an administrator login screen which I have no idea what the password even is. I’ve tried shift-restarting (from the login pages) and tried resetting from there. Once I tried resetting it from there it just gives me a prompt saying it can’t reset and no changes have been made.

Can anyone please help, this has been an issue for me for a while already and I just want this laptop off my hands.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
