Windows 10: Resetting Windows 10 with Partitions

I wonder if it is possible to reset my Windows 10 Home, have some setting issues error msg that some settings are hidden or managed by my organization-which is false as I am the sole user, owner and admin of my laptop-been unable to find any hopeful resolve other than last resort of resetting my software and I wonder if it can be reset WITHOUT having to reset the partitions currently in place? I know that I can keep my files and such but am I able to choose the C drive specifically, bypassing the other?


Also, when typing on my laptop, and I am sure this is a hardware question for HP but maybe someone has an idea, resting my hands on, one on either side of the mouse pad makes my sentences skip from time to time and I end up on another line in another paragraph and if I am not careful it can go unnoticed. Has anyone heard of this or experienced this before? I have an HP Envy x360.


Finally, by resetting my software will that in turn reinstall any missing or deleted components in the Registry??

W7 Hard drive partition issue

to get rid of that 100 meg windows partition that setup creates for you on a new install on a blank hdd:

- press shift+f10 when on the partition management screen in setup <-- this opens a command prompt
- diskpart <-- start the windows command line partition management tool
- list disk <--- list the installed hdds in this computer for the next step
- select disk 0 <- might have to replace 0 with the number of the correct disk
- clean <-- this will erase all data on the disk you selected one step up- dont use the wrong disk!
- create partition primary <- creates a primary partition taking up all space on the drive, adjust the command if necessary
- exit, exit to exit diskpart and the command prompt
- click refresh in partition manager and select your newly created partition and install to that
