Windows 10: Resetting Windows and the loss of it.

Alright, another stupid and easy to answer question of mine.

So I wanna reset Windows because I think its infected, my network is really weird and a bunch of other things. I have almost everything like files, apps, and you name it on a HDD that I use to not fill up my C drive. So first of all does the HDD reset? I don't think so, but the question that's stressing me out is that what if i lose any important data? I'm not sure what could I lose, but since I have all my apps on the HDD, does it remove a lot of data? I'm scared that it will just mess up my whole computer, because a huge part of my apps/games store data in my C, like in roaming.So do I lose a lot of important data that I lose forever, or it's just something that's easy to restore. I mean sure I will lose data in some games, but almost all of my games don't have data to store or are just accounts that store data. Anyway, thanks for reading if you did, have a great day!
