    Hi, I have a Lenovo Ideapad 530s-15ikb laptop Windows 11I recently replaced my battery as the old one was pretty much dead and the new one has been working really well giving me around 5-7 hours of battery life per full charge. I have one issue though, every time I turn my laptop on it shuts down in just 3 seconds of startup when on battery. This is weird because if I put in my charger and attempt to turn it on, it does so normally and the battery also works fine once I remove the charger after the laptop has turned on.So technically the battery is fine and I have checked it with multiple di

    This is a frequent problem am sure as you have already seen from online searches.

    Flea power is usually the culprit here, basically its residual power that remains on the computer even after thecomputer has been shutdown. You can drain the flea power with the steps the other answers have suggested.

    • Disconnecting the battery and adapter
    • Press the hardpress the power button for 30 seconds
    • This should clear the flea power

    If this doesnt work, read this article its about
    a dell inspiron     but the same applies for you hp. It has some detailed step by step instructions

    Hi Hanna,

    Since you were not able to do anything on the PC. What we can do is to perform a drain flea to remove residual power from your system. Kindly follow these steps:

    • Remove the power adapter; then remove the battery.
    • Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.
    • Put the battery back and connect the power adapter.
    • Then, restart your PC.
    After doing the drain flea, you need to install the Windows update by simply clicking this

    The final steps of building my PC are coming up. I have ordered the parts and am ready to build. Now I am worried about static protection. What is it I need to do? I understand about static wrist wraps, but what about the mats? Are they worth the cash.
