  1. Resize default wing on Snipping tool

Is there any way to resize the default window on the new snipping tool on Win 11.The old Snipping tool window stayed nice and small, see image . But the new one does not do this, which makes screenshotting for me an issue. I have multiple live streams open, sometimes 16-20, and the current window is covering most.

    :)

  2. snipping tool

    Please try this:

    Step 1:

Click Start, and type Snipping Tool.

Right-click Snipping Tool from the search results, and click App Settings

    Click Reset,

    Click Repair.

Note: In Windows 11, there is no Snip and Sketch. It comes pre-installed with the new Snipping Tool (which replaces the old Snipping Tool and Snip & Sketch apps)

    Step 2:

Turn off Focus assist if it's enabled

    Step 3:

Open Services.msc and make sure that the following services are set to "Automatic" and running:

    • Windows Push Notifications System Service
    • Windows Push Notifications User Service

Your post is unclear. Please post a step-by-step description of what you are doing, e.g. like so:

    • Open the snipping tool
    • Click "New"
    • etc.

  4. Resize default wing on Snipping tool

Snipping tool window resizes for snip

When connected to my external monitor and I try to take a snip, the screen available to capture shrinks into a corner leaving a black border all around a miniature picture of what my screen should look like. I am still able to snip the area I need, but the
quality is extremely grainy and hard to read. Is there a way to keep the snipping tool from resizing my screen for snips when connected to an external monitor? Thanks.
